Recipe of the Month

This month’s recipe is for a smoothie.  The original idea came from celebrity trainer, Valerie Waters.  I have made some changes to it to make it an even healthier power house.

My new favorite ingredient is Hemp Protein powder.  Check out what is in a serving below:

13 grams of digestible protein

9 grams of dietary fiber

600 mg of Omega 3

1,700 mg of Omega-6 with GLA

All 10 Essential Amino Acids

Vit E, C and B6

Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium and Iron

The only ingredient in this product is Organic Hemp Seed.  WOW!

Green Smoothie

2 Full Kale Leaves or couple handfulls of baby spinach or other green leafy vegetable that is nutrient dense.

1 whole banana

4 TBSP of Living Harvest Hemp Protein Powder

1 Cup of frozen mango chunks

1 Cup of water

Combine ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
