Philosophy
- You are a unique individual, therefore, your program should be.
- It is important to set goals.
- Exercise should be fun.
- Workouts should not take hours in the gym everyday. In fact, you should be able to complete a workout without a typical gym in an hour or less.
- You do not need a personal trainer to work out on machines. You may need a babysitter, but not a trainer!
- Bulky is not sexy. Long, lean and athletic is. (I think this goes for both men and women)
- Poor posture is not sexy either.
- Workouts should not only enhance your physique, they should enhance your personal daily performance in whatever it is that you do. From desk jobs to extreme sports.
- Commitment to change and consistency are the keys to succeeding.
- Exercise is not the means to an end. It is an integral part of lifestyle.
- Proper form and technique should be emphasized during a workout.
- Clients must be educated so that they would be able to work independtly.
- People generally don’t enjoy something that they are not good at, therefore, you may not love to exercise at first. I promise you, I will help you to enjoy your workouts!
- Fitness should be fun, yet challenging.
- Exercise is not just to help you look good and perform well, it also reduces the risk of developing lifestyle-realted diseases (stroke, heart disease, diabetes etc.)
- Anyone who truly makes the commitment will succeed with the proper guidance and support.
- Not having time is not an excuse. It just means that you are choosing to make other things a priority.
- Sleep is essential.
- We must make ourselves a priority. If we are not healthy, all of those things/jobs/people keeping us busy, will not matter. We must take care of ourselves first or we will be no good to anyone else.
- Exercise must be combined with proper nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Exercise helps you dump the stresses of daily life and meet the next challenge.
- When your time is limited, it is important to fit in as much exercise as you can. Workouts should not be skipped altogether.
- When you physically begin to feel better, mental and emotional improvements will follow.
- You will never regret exercising, however, you will regret missing a workout! So, like Nike says, just do it!
- I will push you beyond what you ever thought possible, however, I do not beleive in working so hard that you cannot walk the next day. I do not beleive in pushing you so hard that you feel sick during a workout. Exercise is not something to dread. I will push you so that you are proud of what you accomplished and you will walk away from your workouts feeling strong and motivated.
- Last, but definately not least…It is not easy. The sooner you realize that there is no easy short cut, the faster you will have the body you want. You have to decide what you want, make the commitment to do what it takes and then stick to it realizing that there will be tough times.
